Guided by reverence, curiosity, and care, Mukta’s classes are an invitation to return to presence. With a holistic approach that blends movement, breath, sound, and stillness, you are welcome exactly as you are — free to explore, express, and simply be.
Who are you?
My name is Mukta. Mukta means Freedom or Liberation, and it describes my purpose here.
Tell us a little bit about your relationship to yoga.
Yoga is so much more than a physical movement practice. I came to yoga (or perhaps it came to me) through a deep curiosity towards a culture and its practices - the mystics of these traditions and the vast, sacred knowledge they carry.
Since then, it has become a way of life. A way to move through the world with more awareness. A way to live more mindfully, and to strive towards being a more kind, loving, and authentic human. My mission is to share what I'm learning in a way that doesn’t erase the roots of where these teachings come from, but instead honors and celebrates them. If sharing the little that I can grasp, can inspire others to explore deeper, then I know I’m on the right path.
What does Soul mean to you?
Soul is authentic expression. Living in alignment with our values. Deeply connecting to ourselves and to others. Soul is presence. Soul is peace. It’s the recognition that we are more than flesh and bones - something unseen, but deeply felt.
Tell us a little bit about your classes for our Soul & (not) Surf week:
I offer what I perceive to be a holistic approach to yoga - one that weaves together both ancient and modern elements. A variety of practices will be part of the journey, including asana (physical postures), pranayama (breathwork), mantra (repetition of sound or phrase), kriya (specific movement or breath-based techniques to shift energy), and dhyana (meditation).
All of it is accessible to everyone, and curated in a way that invites us to express our true, authentic selves. Most importantly, you are welcome exactly as you are.
Mukta’s Classes Description
Pranayama
Our breath holds immense power. In our practice, we will explore ancient yogic breathing techniques in a way that allows us to integrate them into daily life. A steady return to the breath as both anchor and guide.
Vinyasa
A moving meditation. A dynamic practice where we combine asana (physical posture), pranayama (breathing techniques), mantra (sacred sound), and kriya (ritual movement or energetic action) to connect to our physical and subtle bodies. Expect a mixture of embodied flow, focused alignment, and moments of stillness.
Kundalini
A classical Kundalini sequence rooted in the Nath Lineage, as developed by Dr. Yogrishi Vishvketu. This method draws from ancient yogic scriptures, with the intention to guide prana (life force) to specific areas in the subtle body through mantra (sound), kriya (energetic movement), and dhyana (meditation).
