The rest of your body is welcome to come to yoga too. | Photography by Katie Rae

We work with with a team of brilliant, experienced teachers to aid your practise of yoga & meditation in Sri Lanka in our rooftop, ocean view shala. We carefully develop classes that can cater to all levels, there will be people who are making their first moves on a mat or honing early skills during their stay.

And if you are a seasoned yogi… well, we intentionally design our classes to invite you to go deeper into your practice too.

Yoga & Meditation in Ahangama

High Season (14th October – mid-May)

Included in the retreat are seven yoga classes at 3pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday while Wednesday yoga is at 6pm and Saturday is at 5pm – these are a mix of Vinyasa, Slow Flow, Pranayama, Meditation & Yin.

Plus, if you really want to go deep into a practice you can pay extra and attend our extra studio classes too, as well as private one-to-one sessions – perfect if you’re a total newbie and want to nail the basics, or for yogis who need a bit of extra help to master a specific pose. The main challenge is trying to tear your gaze away from the ocean view.

Music is really important to us and so we make sure we bend and breathe whilst listening to some seriously good tunes – and all of this in the inspirational surroundings of south Sri Lanka.

All Season (Around the Year)

We have 2 classes everyday, just hop onto our Instagram for the schedule or DM us if you need more information. Otherwise, you are always welcome to use the yoga shala for your own practice.

Drop in Yoga

In the busy season, we run daily morning and afternoon classes from our rooftop yoga shala, which you are more than welcome to join whether you are staying with us or staying elsewhere. Did we mention the sea view?

Each of our classes are open level, so no matter your experience, come along and feel free to do as much or as little as you like. Plus, you can hang out in our lush cafe, Canteen, after class.

The morning class is at 8.30am, and the afternoon session is at 5pm.  If you are in the area for a while and plan to take more classes, you can pay for a Yoga Week to save some pennies - check out our price info

Either pay in cash directly to the teacher or at reception if you would like to pay with card.

We provide yoga mats but feel free to bring your own if you prefer.

*During green season we do not run daily classes, but you are welcome to use the shala for your own practice. And if there are enough of you who are keen, we can organise a teacher for you - just chat to us when you are onsite.
