We are on the hunt for an Assistant Manager to help run our Sri Lanka operations from 1st June. 

Soul & Surf Sri Lanka is looking for a dedicated Assistant Manager to support the day-to-day operations of our retreat. This role is ideal for someone highly organized, hospitality-trained, and passionate about delivering outstanding guest experiences.

You should be a proactive team player with excellent leadership skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a hands-on approach to management.

Responsibilities

• Daily Operations Support – Assist in overseeing operations across all departments, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
• Guest Relations – Act as a key point of contact for retreat guests, handling check-ins, check-outs, and any queries to ensure a seamless stay.
• Maintenance Control – Oversee maintenance schedules, liaise with suppliers, and ensure the property is well maintained.
• Administration, Finance & Legal – Support administrative tasks, assist with financial tracking, budgeting, and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
• Finance Support – Assist with bookkeeping, expense tracking, and ensuring financial procedures are followed.
• Stock & Cost Control – Help monitor budgets, stock levels, and operational costs to meet financial targets.
• Health & Safety Compliance – Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.

• Proven experience in hospitality management, preferably in a hotel, retreat, or restaurant setting.
• Sri Lankans only 
• Based near Ahangama or willing to relocate.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and adapt to a dynamic work environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused mindset.
• Proficiency in computer systems, Google Drive, and spreadsheets for administrative and financial tasks.
