Soul & Surf Sri Lanka is looking for an experienced, professional, sociable and motivated surf instructor to help us launch and implement a thorough, detailed and professional weekly surf lesson development plan to include different levels of surfers and theory lessons.
With the ability to tailor aspects of the lessons to each guest’s needs to achieve the best possible progression for all within their week’s stay with us. As a key team member you will be required to act as a welcoming host throughout a guest’s stay, attending meals and some evening events and helping the senior management team to get things done.

You will be responsible for supporting the General Manager with daily hotel operations and services. Responsible for ensuring guest satisfaction, staff training and the smooth operation of the hotel. You will tend to all facets of the hotel operations in the absence of the General Manager.
You will be leading a team of local and foreign staff to be versatile, helpful, thorough, efficient and friendly ensuring the smooth running of the hotel service.
You will be a main point of contact for our kitchen, service and housekeeping team. You will therefore need to know, in detail, all aspects of Soul & Surf’s operation standards.
The trick with this role is the marriage of two cultures. You will be in the middle position to ensure that all staff, both local and foreign work to the same level whilst being culturally sensitive. You will maintain a positive working environment and team in the kitchen and service departments so that every staff member is comfortable and morale is not affected.

The role is mainly guest-facing as well as supporting the management in all things from manning the cafe and bar, to serving and hosting meals and spending time with our guests as well as keeping the place looking fantastic and keeping the vibes high.
We’re looking for people who are hard working with hospitality experience, professional and proactive. You’ll be a good communicator and a great team player – and, of course, love your fair share of yoga and surf.
This is a non-salaried role which is for a duration of 2 months and would suit someone who is keen to experience living and working in a different country. Although you won’t receive a monthly income, the benefits are substantial if you take advantage of the free surf lessons & yoga classes as well as food and accommodation in shared rooms.

The successful candidate will be a qualified therapist with at least two years’ experience – and, just as importantly, be someone who is passionate about sharing their love for massage and therapies with others.
We require you to play a key role in the team; we’re looking for someone who doesn’t hide out in a therapy room, but who wants to spend time at the hotel socialising with guests and other staff, and who doesn’t mind mucking in at times.

The brief is simple – to make sure we never miss a booking, convert more enquiries to bookings and ensure the guest experience from first contact to making a booking is at all times friendly, approachable, smooth and efficient.
Preferably you will have experience of working in an administrative/customer care role and have strong computer literacy around online administration & financials. We are looking for someone who has excellent communication, critical thinking and problem solving skills and has excellent English (spoken and written).
This position is suitable for people who are used to having a nomadic lifestyle and doing their work remotely. You would have the possibility of working from India, Sri Lanka and Portugal (limited months of the year) though please note that if you do choose to work on location we can provide accommodation and extras like some staff meals, surf and yoga, but you must be a registered freelancer and legally eligible to work in these countries.
