We get asked this a lot. Usually by someone who’s burnt out, a browser full of tabs, halfway between “book it” and “run away to a yurt forever.” If that’s you — hello, we see you.
You’re after somewhere in Europe, not too far, not too intense. Somewhere that gets yoga (without preaching), where surf’s a part of the day (not your whole identity), and where you can eat, socialise, sleep and maybe feel a little more like you again.
We know the feeling. Which is probably why Soul & Surf Portugal came to life in the first place (you can read more about why to choose us here).
Set up in the sunny Algarve, it’s our version of an all-inclusive surf and yoga escape — but without the jargon, the juice cleanses or the need to be good at stuff.
You can surf in the morning, stretch in the evening, eat proper food in between, and nap whenever you want. There’s no guru. No one’s judging your down dog. We’ve created a space where all you really need to do is show up.
Take a look at Soul & Surf Portugal here, and in case you need any assistance booking just send us an email to enquiries.portugal@soulandsurf.com
Of course, we’re not the only ones doing good things and if we are not what you are looking for there are plenty of other places in Europe that you can check out.
Over in southwest France, Pure Flow Motions offers a more stripped-back surf and yoga experience in the Landes region — pine forests, long beaches, Atlantic swell and a no-fuss, all-included setup. It’s peaceful, low-key, and far enough from the crowds to really breathe.
Further down in northern Spain, Surf & Yoga Somo blends mellow yoga sessions with beginner-friendly waves in Cantabria — one of Spain’s most underrated surf zones. You’ll get daily classes, surf coaching, meals, and enough free time to actually enjoy doing nothing for a bit.
And if you fancy heading south for year-round sunshine, Sunshine Yoga & Surf in Lanzarote runs peaceful, rooftop-yoga-style retreats that are still close to beginner-friendly surf breaks. It's simple, but has everything you need.
The best bit? These places aren’t about being the bendiest or shreddiest person on the beach. They’re about waking up, moving a little, surfing a little, and going to bed with sea salt still in your hair.
We know from experience — it can do more good than you think.
So whether you join us at Soul & Surf, or find your own corner of Europe’s coast, we hope you find a place that lets you slow down a bit, move a little, float a lot, and eat something fresh.
The ocean's waiting.
