Jobs

We have a few seasonal positions available in India and Sri Lanka for winter 2019/2029. We have loads of applications for these positions so do what you can to stand out and convince us that you’re right for Soul & Surf and you get our philosophy. We’re not right for everyone so be sure to know what we’re about.  For example If you’re looking for a surf camp, party, party vibe we’re not for you.

If you’re looking to be part of a team with a great ethical philosophy and are willing to be a part of this small team and be more than just your job title, to be a team player, to be a host, to be part of the overall quality control, to share our core beliefs and ethos, to work hard to achieve good things and to be a thoroughly good person then we’ll stick with you in the long term, help you to grow your role and train you to achieve more and the benefits will grow.

Apply using the form on this page and give us a quick overview paragraph or two with the reasons why you’d be a good fit for Soul & Surf in particular demonstrating a good understanding of us, our ethos and our background, plus your CV and salary expectations. If you don’t put all this lot together for us we’ll have to presume you’re not really serious about the position.

We’re looking for people who are hard working, experienced, professional and driven. You’ll be a good communicator and a great team player – and, of course, you’ll love eating!

Service & Cafe Host - a payment in kind worker – Portugal

Working in Portugal is a unique opportunity to broaden your views and contribute your talents to help us deliver an incredible and memorable experience for our guests.

The role is guest facing and supporting the management in all things from manning the cafe, to serving and hosting meals and spending time with our fantastic guests. The other side of it is keeping the place looking fantastic and keeping the vibes high.

We’re looking for people who are hard working, experienced, professional and driven. You’ll be a good communicator and a great team player – and, of course love your fair share of Yoga and Surf.

This is a non-salaried role which would suit someone who is keen to experience living and working in a different country.  Although you won’t receive a monthly income the benefits are substantial if you take advantage of the free surf lessons, equipment hire, yoga classes as well as food and accommodation. We will also provide you with a pushbike so you have a bit of freedom while you are here!

This role is for two months in the 2020 season (between April and November.) Please mention in your application which two months would be your preference.

Therapist - Portugal

March – November 2020

We’re on the hunt for an experienced masseur/therapist with a unique offering and the desire to spend some time in the beautiful Algarvian sun (and to partake in some surf and yoga, too, if that’s your thing!)

You must have a minimum of two years’ experience working as a professional therapist, and be qualified to offer at least three types of treatment, including deep tissue and holistic. Ideally you’ll also have some experience working in a retreat environment.

Please don’t expect this to be a gig where you just show up at a pre-prepared room 5mins before each session. Our therapists are a key part of our team and will need to manage all aspects of the department and to get to know our guests in order to book treatments. That means problem solving, fixing, organising, promoting, admin, accounting and beyond.

If you’d be interested in applying, please use the form below to contact us and give us a quick overview paragraph or two with the reasons why you’d be a good fit for Soul & Surf, in particular demonstrating a good understanding of us, our ethos and our background, plus attach your CV.

Please also send us a short paragraph about your philosophy and approach to massage therapy; what inspires you to help others? What have been some your personal discoveries since working in therapy and body work?

If more than one posting interests you (in either Kerala, Sri Lanka and/or Portugal), select your most preferred one, and mention your interest for the other ones early in your blurb.
